Brahma-Sutra Bhasya of Sankaracarya

£19.99

Product description

A developed presentation of the originally complex Vendanta philosophy in the Upanisads. "The translator has given the word-for-word meaning of each aphorism under its Sanskrit text, followed by a running translation, with additional words in brackets for clarification."

Advaita Ashrama hardback with intact DJ. The DJ is pretty ragged with tears and missing panels at the top of the front and the bottom of the spine. The underlying boards in light tan are good as is the green cloth binding to the spine with darker green lettering on it. The boards show a little corner wear and some damp staining. The binges, both front and back, are slightly sprung but remain functional. There is a small ink inscription on the ffep dated 20 April 84. No other marks.

Quite an important volume, here showing its age somewhat and so appropriately priced
