Judas Iscariot and Other Stories (The Christians, The Phantoms)

£8.99

Product description

Published in 1947 by John Westhouse. Translated from the Russian by Walter Morison and illustrated by Brian Robb. As well as Judas Iscariot the book includes two of his other works; The Christians and a contemporary tale The Phantoms.

Leonid Nikolaievich Andreyev (Russian, 1871 – 1919) was a Russian playwright, novelist and short-story writer, who is considered to be a father of Expressionism in Russian literature. He is one of the most talented and prolific representatives of the Silver Age period. Andreyev's style combines elements of realist, naturalist, and symbolist schools in literature.

There is an inscription in the front reading: 'Nora to Pritchard, July 1956'.
The original dust jacket is now protected by a plastic sleeve but it does have some wear and tear. The internal pages are all in a good clean condition.
