About this item

The book is entirely in French. Under the title is the following:- "Selon l'Edition Vulgate, avec les differences du Grec. Sixieme Edition. Revue & corrigee". It was published in 1668.
Part 1 has 503pp; part 2 has 408pp. Binding tight. Pages age-darkened, foxed and stained although the text remains clearly legible. The front end papers have a long ink-wriiten description inscribed on them apparently dating from the eighteenth century. The pages inside the boards are marbled and are torn in places. The page inside the front cover has been repaired with Sellotape at some point. The spine is bumped and worn top and bottom and the titles are no longer legible. However the gilt decoration remains clear. The board corners are bumped and worn and the boards show scuffs, stains, scratches and grazes.
