The Book of Common Prayer, and administration of the sacraments, and other rites and ceremonies of the church,

£60.00

Product description

A pocket edition of the Book of Common Prayer bound in very dark green, almost black heavily embossed leather with brass trim, hasp and button fastener. The spine is moderately scuffed at head and foot, also on the edges. The front free end paper is beginning to split away from the half title but is fully attached to the fixed end paper, there is foxing to end papers at front and back of the book, continuing in pages at either end of the book but diminishing to nothing after a few pages at each end. There is age toning to the outer edges of many pages, however this is confined to clear borders and does not obscure any text. Text block edges remain richly gilt.
A delightful Victorian copy which has "Church Services" embossed in gilt on the spine.
