The Holy Bible

£19.99

Product description

Small volume bound in brown leather. Boards have an embossed design and lozenge "Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge 1698". There are the remains of 2 latches or straps visible on both covers, the binding shows considerable wear. Many pages are discoloured by age and there are pencil study marks in some sections, with various dates in the 1800s .
There is a short inscription in ink on the title page: Master Robert Smith from NJ (or NT, WJ or WT-hard to decipher).
Considering the venerable age of this bible (1833), all text is clear and the book is complete.
