A high quality publication, bound in black leather with gilt lettering and an embossed badge of the Hereford Diocesan Education Society in gilt on the front and rear. The front fixed end paper has a presentation label dated 1882 (Albert R. Jones was placed in the first class at the annual exam). The text block is tight and the edges are bright gilt. Although there is a little age spotting on some pages all text is clear and the maps and plans, some subtly tinted, are finely detailed.
