Full tan leather bound book with gilt lines around front and back covers. The spine is very worn and no titles can be deciphered. All the corners are bumped. The front board is detached, the fep is still attached but only by a small part. Internally some of the pages are foxed, they are all discoloured with age. The binding is very frail. This book was published in 1795 by R and J Bonwicke and R Wilkin in St Paul's Church-yard, and J Walthoe and T Ward in the Temple in London. This is Volume III part 2. It was originally written in French by Father Quesnel and then translated into English. Father Quesnel had Jansenist leanings which led him into some problems. There is a list of subscribers in the front of the book which was not in the first volume. This is an ex-library book, it is stamped Biblical Library Leighton Buzzard and dated 1874.
