The Quaker Tapestry

£7.99

Product description

Text by Ormerod Greenwood, with Prologue by Anne Wynn-Wilson.

More than 2,000 people in eight countries have had a hand in the preparation of The Quaker Tapestry, which sprang from the inspiration of one woman and a boy in a country Friends' Meeting House in England in 1981, using as its model the famous Bayeux Tapestry.

The book is an extended commentary and reverie on the 75 facets of the panels, whose subjects were chosen and lovingly illustrated by those who worked them: an attempt in an unusual form to communicate and share. Illustrated with colour plates of the tapestry panels.

Hardback, 246pp, published 1990. In good condition, but with small mark on front board, and dust jacket price clipped.
