Architects' Builders' and Civil Engineers' Reference Book 1948

£9.99

Product description

Intended for the aforementioned professionals, this is a valuable information source and of great historical interest.
Bound in dark blue with gilt lettering, although the cover is a little bumped and scuffed at the corners and edges, the binding remains tight and sound. The fixed end papers are a little wrinkled but are otherwise intact, free end papers are lightly foxed. Text block edges are tinted in an attractive shade of heliotrope. The pages within are on the whole free of foxing or toning: all text is clear on clean pages. In addition to clear b/w diagrams, charts, figures, photographs and illustrations there are several pages of advertisements, most monochrome but several with one additional bold colour, e.g. scarlet or mint green; also a kitchen company advert in full colour (Redwing Ltd).
Of interest to the professional, social historian or any fan of nostalgic advertisements.
