Band Theory of Metals: The Elements

£39.99

Product description

The topics discussed in this book purposely cover a very limited section of the band theory of solids. Although solid state physics is admirably treated in a number of books, beginners often find it difficult to grasp its former principles, in particular the theory and properties of Brillouin zones. The book endeavours to provide a thoroughly self-contained account of these principles in a form suitable for undergraduates with limited experience of mathematics and quantum mechanics, such as metallurgists and experimental physicists.

Condition: The soft covers have some very minor shelfware and marking. There is some slight bumping to the corners. The paste down inside the front cover has been signed by the previous owner. The text block is clean and bright and the binding is good and tight.
