British Diesel Engine Catalogue

£39.99

Product description

This is a first edition catalogue of all British Diesel Engines available for purchase in 1947.
It was issued by the Manufacturers' Association and thus must be considered as an advertising catalogue rather than a reference book. Bound in black with gilt lettering and a small pasted on reproduction of the Association's badge, the cover is slightly scuffed and there is a small tear to the binding on the bottom front edge, approx. 1.5cm square, as may be viewed on the image. The interior has occasional oily finger traces and there are small tears to pages 196 and 202. Otherwise the text is clear, as are the b/w tables, charts, diagrams, illustrations and photographs, also there are the occasional splashes of vivid colour as backgrounds to b/w photographs or illustrations. Includes b/w photographs of railway locomotives powered by Sulzer engines.
