Childhood Sexual Abuse: An Evidence Based Perspective

£11.99

Product description

This book critically reviews research into child sexual abuse (CSA), and provides a concise and clear guide to current knowledge. The topics covered include: the prevalence of CSA; who molests children; the effects of such abuse, both immediate and long term; the risk factors for abuse; and the influences and interventions which may amplify, or ameliorate, the impact of CSA on the victim. Areas of debate such as the false memory syndrome are approached in terms of the research data which is relevant to their resolution.

Very good- condition. Back cover has suffered some creasing and the last two pages are dog-eared but otherwise the book is clean and undamaged with an uncreased spine.

Oxfam Books & Music Jesmond

We are a specialist shop nestled in the heart of Jesmond, a lovely residential area of Newcastle Upon Tyne. We opened in July 2010 and have on offer 5,000 books, 2,000 records, CDs and games as well as sheet music, cards and stationery within the shop. Our shop has high ceilings and a nice, bright and airy feel. We are gaining a very good reputation in the Rare and Collectable books and vinyl community, but also do a roaring trade in contemporary fiction and modern non-fiction. We also organise live music and book events and aim to be a hub of culture in this wonderfully tight-knit community.
