Coloured Canaries / G. B. R. Walker

£24.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Publication date: 1976. Condition: Very Good. The dust jacket is in very good condition apart from a small piece missing at the front at the top of the spine and a 1cm tear at the top (these can be seen in the 1st image - the 2nd image shows that the back is in very good condition), and a slight discolouration from its age. Internally, there are a few spots on its endpapers and the paper is slightly discoloured near the page edges, but overall the book is clean, tight and hardly marked. Content: "The first and complete guide for bredders and fanciers of 'new colour canaries', one of the newest and most exciting areas of aviculture. There are chapters on Mnagaement, Bredding techniques and basic Genetics, as well as Description and Inheritance tables of all the mutations of Coloured Canaries. Also included is a chapter on the latest creation - the Pearl. The detailed and authoritative text is by Geoff Walker, Chairman of the Canary Coloured Breeders Association....The text is greatly enhanced by the first complete guide of superb quality colour photographs of the actual specimens. These plates are the work of possibly the finest bird photographers in the world - Dennis Avon and Tony Tilford."
