Gliding and Motorless Flight. First Edition

£6.99

Product description

Written by L. Howard-Flanders and C. F. Carr in 1930, this first edition of Gliding and Motorless Flight "will give to those who are curious to know something of the new sport an idea of its principles." It covers the history of gliding as well as pilot training and the construction of gliders.
Contains 24 B/W plates and 12 illustrations.

The book itself is in good condition, with clean, tight pages and sharp gilt lettering on the spine and front board. The dustjacket is in poor condition, with a large tear across the front, partly torn spine and about a quarter of it missing from the back. Overall, in fair/good condition.

An interesting historical perspective on the sport of gliding.
