Green's Function Methods in Probability Theory

£80.00

Product description

This book is in very good condition, with some light wear to the edges of the cover and some light marking to edges of the pages. Otherwise, the book is in very good condition with all pages, cover and spine intact.

Number 17 of Griffin's Statistical Monographs & Courses. This monograph is an offspring of the union between the author's background in Mathematical Physics and his interest in problems of Probability and Stochastic Processes. It therefore has an unusual and moreover interesting flavour for a Probability theorist. The mathematical discussion is carried on in terms of classical real and complex variable i.e. it is not measure-theoretical. The author's interests are in applied rather than pure probability theory.
The author has shed new light on many familiar problems in stochastic processes and has also supplied new tools for dealing with these problems.
