Machine Shop Operations

£24.99

Product description

This weighty volume details a list of jobs which are typical of hundreds of major operations which a skilled mechanic is called upon to do. The practical method for learning Machine Shop Work, by a study of the actual jobs, simplilfies and shortens the training period.
This manual, published in America in 1944, would be of considerable interest to students of industrial history.
Bound in maroon cloth with pale grey lettering and an appropriate design on the front cover, the binding is fixed through the spine with black screws.
Text block edges are a little toned and have minimal soiling, but all text pages are clean, the profuse b/w line drawings and diagrams
are clear and full of useful detail.
The book appears to be a collection of manuals on various topics rather than one continuous textbook, providing instructions for various tasks throughout and quiz questions at the end of each chapter. The contents section is set out in a logical and informative way.
