Rock Slope Engineering

£120.00

Product description

This is the revised second edition of the book first published in 1974. It aims to answer the question, "How does an engineer achieve an optimum design - a compromise between a slope which is steep enough to be economically acceptable and one which is flat enough to be safe?" The book cover has some surface scrub marks on the back and dark wear marks on the spine ends, which are slightly frayed at the corners. Other corners are rubbed with surface loss. Owner's name with date, 6.5.81, written in ink to the top of the front free end paper`. Occasional neat pencil notes are written in the margins, which are deliberately wide for this purpose. Extensively illustrated with drawings, tables and photographs.
