Surfaces and Interfaces for Biomaterials

£80.00

Product description

Given such problems as rejection, the interface between an implant and its human host is a critical area in biomaterials. 'Surfaces and Interfaces for Biomaterials' summarises a wealth of research on the surface properties of biomaterials and the way they interact with human tissue. Part I reviews the way biomaterial surfaces form. Part II discusses ways of monitoring and characterising surface structure and behaviour. The final two parts of the book look at a range of in vitro and in vivo studies of the complex interactions between biomaterials and the body.

The book is in very good+ condition. Pages are very clean and unmarked with no inscriptions, annotation or highlighting.

Oxfam Books & Music Jesmond

We are a specialist shop nestled in the heart of Jesmond, a lovely residential area of Newcastle Upon Tyne. We opened in July 2010 and have on offer 5,000 books, 2,000 records, CDs and games as well as sheet music, cards and stationery within the shop. Our shop has high ceilings and a nice, bright and airy feel. We are gaining a very good reputation in the Rare and Collectable books and vinyl community, but also do a roaring trade in contemporary fiction and modern non-fiction. We also organise live music and book events and aim to be a hub of culture in this wonderfully tight-knit community.
