The Intelligent Eye by R L Gregory 1st edition 1970 with unclipped d/j Weidenfeld & Nicolson illus in colour and b&w

£12.50 Out Of Stock

Product description

Publisher: Weidenfeld & Nicolson, London, 1970, 1st edition. Hardback with unclipped d/j, 191 pages. Illustrated throughout in colour and b&w. Cover, in blue boards with silver titling to spine, is very good with just very slight traces of shelfwear. Internally the book is in good, tight and clean condition with just some light tanning to page edges and page block edges and a neat inscription to front endpaper. The unclipped dustjacket is in generally good condition with just a little edgewear to top edge and some foxing to inside. Lacks the 3D glasses originally provide with book (but these are easy to obtain for little cost). Overall a good/very good copy of a fascinating study of human perception by this professor of Bionics and experimental psychology. 'Our association with reality - our day to day experience of external objects - has fascinated and puzzled philosophers from the start of human thought. In this new book Richard Gregory, whose widely read Eye and Brain described current experimental work in the psychology of seeing, extends the theme of his lectures at the Royal Institution, ... by exploring the unique qualities of human perception'
