The LMS Coach 1923-1957

£19.99

Product description

To the average traveller the railway carriage is the most important part of the train, yet surprisingly the carriage has featured little in railway literature. The authors of this book, over a period of years, have studied the history and development of the coaching stock of the LMS railway, recording in meticulous details everything they could unearth in official and unofficial records. The result is this survey of LMS coaches from 1923 until the early 1950's when the last LMS designs were built.

Hard back book with dust jacket. Although there is a small, closed tear on the back of the jacket, the jacket is in very good condition. The sum of £1.50 has been written in ink on the front endpaper and there is very slight tanning to the pages, but apart from that the book is in excellent condition.
