The Physiology of Human Pregnancy (First Edition)

£19.99

Product description

The purpose of physiological adaptations in pregnancy is not to preserve the usual 'milieu interieur' which is the constant endeavour of the body in all other situations, but to create a constantly changing environment appropriate to the successive stages of pregnancy. In this book existing knowledge of human pregnancy is critically examined and co-ordinated to supply what the postgraduate in medicine, physiology or obstetrics needs to know for teaching or practice. On the other side the survey makes apparent the gaps in knowledge and points the way to further research.

This is a hardback book with a dust jacket which shows a little sign of aging but is in very good condition. The book is an old library copy from Withington Hospital and they have stamped it on the edge of the pages. There is also a library card holder on the front endpaper. It is unclipped and in very good condition. It is a first edition written by Frank Hytten and Isabella Leitch and published by Blackwell.
