The book is in fine condition, except for a small light brown stain at the front of the top edge (see photo), there is absolutely no staining on the actual pages. The dustjacket is in very good condition, just the top front edge has a light crease (see photo). The pages are not numbered. A Foreword by A. Harry Griffin. With numerous (more than a hundred) superb drawings by Wainwright and his writings of his beloved Lakeland, plus some b/w photographs, and loose folded map - "A Map of the County of Westmorland as it was on the 31st day of March in the year of our Lord 1974." Contents: Wainwright in Kendal -Mountains - Lakes and Tarns - Rivers and Waterfalls - Buildings, etc. A really excellent book of the Lake District as Wainwright saw it on his many walks.
