'The Comical Dreams of Pantagruel' a book entirely in French that contains 120 different gothic and somewhat grotesque figures based on François Rabelais' works such as: 'The Horrible and Terrifying Deeds and Words of the Very Renowned Pantagruel King of the Dipsodes, Son of the Great Giant Gargantua'. Each entry consists of a set of notes for each character and an illustration.

This copy is a hardback with no dust jacket that is in very good condition as the cover is clean and undamaged with minor wear to the corners. Though there is a paint stain to the bottom edges of the pages. Inside the pages are clean and undamaged with the binding still being secure. There do not appear to be many other signs of wear.

This book would be ideal for those studying French literature and those that are fluent in French.
