Bermuda. Mussons. 1986. Privately Printed Hardcover. Book Condition:Fine with the exception of a mark in the middle of the endpapers joint at the front. Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good + with a small amount of wear to the extremities and spine head and tail. 320 pages.

Bright orange cloth boards are clean and unfaded, and feature a white fan on the front. White lettering on spine is crisp.
llustrated throughout with black and white photos of Bean and highlights of her career.

An account of the woman who became the first black Supervisor of Schools and the first black president of the Bermuda Society of Arts.
This book is of interest as it is signed by the author Nellie E. Musson to the title page and also contains some memorabilia relating to the subject Marjorie Bean. She has dedicated the book to Mary Diminshky on the ffep and dated 1986 'with dfond memories of their friendship etc....' Mary Dimishky was a student friend of Indira Gandhi at Oxford and shared Latin lessons with her.

The book also contains a loose laid in note to Mary and a forwarded invitation to the UK from Bermuda inviting her to the Queens Birthday party on the island Also contained is an invitation addressed to Bean to a celebratory parade for the Queens birthday in Hamilton. There is a third invitation to a reception at the US Naval Air Station in Bermuda undated
