Trail Smoke: Cross Wind To The Fire

£14.99

Product description

This book, and the stories and tales it covers, was written by one of British Columbia's top big game guides, who is well known and admired by hunters from around the world. Lloyd Cushway was born and raised in the small community of Baldonnel, B. C. Forsaking a formal education, Lloyd Cushway enrolled in the 'school of hard knocks' as the age of fifteen as a horse wrangler. He added many jobs to his resume including trapper, big game guide, prospector, truck driver and millwright. This book is born of some of the many humorous, and often unfortunate, events in his life, which he recounts in a funny and entertaining way. This 2011 paperback first edition is inscribed and signed by the author on the title page 'To Mary & Joe, Enjoy & Best Wishes, Lloyd'. It is in a good condition, with slight folds in the corners of the front and back covers and some minor scratches on the spine. There are a few marks on the outside edge of the book block. The pages are clean and bright.

Oxfam Bookshop Hexham

We relocated in January 2016 to larger premises and are now able to offer a wider range of books and music (you can come and check out your musical choices in our listening booth and also find out a lot more about Oxfam's work.). We have a new local interest section, more space for history and have extended our craft and arts offer.  We also sell cards, fair trade food and ethical cleaning and beauty products.

Hexham is a market town situated in the beautiful Tyne Valley - the ideal stopping off point before exploring Hadrian's Wall, Chesters, Housesteads and the Temple of Mithras at Carrawburgh.
