A Tide of Fish

£120.00

Product description

This hardcover book is in good condition overall. The book includes the original dust jacket. The cover of the book has some noticeable but minor wear, such as minor markings and foxing front and back, as well as general to some edges and corners. The dust jacket has some noticeable tears throughout, and is overall much more worn than the cover. It appears the jacket has been price cut as well. On the edges of the pages there is some noticeable foxing, this does not appear to extend to the inside of the pages. Overall, the pages of the book appear to be in very good condition and without major issue, this also includes the photographs inside. This book was published in 1962 by Heinemann and is a first edition.
'This book is about two peninsulas in West Wales - Gower and Castlemartin - and the broad sweep of Carmarthen Bay between them. It describes sea-fishing along a coastline of great beauty embracing the limestone cliffs of Rhossili, St Govan's and Linney Heads; the dunes and estuaries of Pendine and Laugharne ; the deep fiord of Milford Haven and the great Atlantic storm beaches of Llangennith and Freshwater West... Sea-fishing, not with nets but with rod and line, is the book's unifying theme.'
