Mitsusuke Harada was born in 1928 and joined the famous Shotokan dojo in Tokyo in 1943, where he was taught by legendary masters Motonobu Hironishi, Wado Uemura and Yoshiaki Hayashi. Harada is also one of the few men still living who trained under Yoshitaka Funakoshi, a karate of truly formidable reputation. Master Harada introduced karate to Brazil in 1955, the year he received his 5th Dan diploma and travelled to Europe in 1963 and took up residence in Britain. This book provides new facts and stories about the master and teachers and is packed with insights into Shotokan karate and must be considered essential reading for all true followers of Shotokan karate.
