The Art of Angling Volume 1

£9.99

Product description

The first volume of a set of three published in 1957. It was intended as a comprehensive guide and reference book as well as a book to be read and enjoyed by all anglers. Part written by Kenneth Mansfield with contributions by many other notable anglers and writers on angling in the middle of the twentieth century. Volume 1 stands on its own, containing a historical introduction, a long chapter by Mansfield on angling literature in England, then four chapters describing fishing geographically in each of the four countries of the British Isles, four chapters on angling equipment and finally a section on sea angling, including sharks! The book includes a colour plate frontispiece, several more full page plates in black and white and numerous maps, drawings and other illustrations.

It is presented in dark blue leatherette binding and is in very good condition and would be a interesting addition to the bookshelf.
