Harold Maurice Abrahams, CBE, (15 December 1899 – 14 January 1978) was an English track and field athlete. He was Olympic champion in 1924 in the 100 metres sprint, a feat depicted in the 1981 movie Chariots of Fire. At the time of publication he was an advisory editor of World Sports magazine.

This book records the first six places in every Olympic track or field contest held between 1896 and 1936, as well as a foreword by the Rt. Hon. Philip Noel Baker and an introduction by Harold Abrahams CBE.

The book is a first edition from 1948, an ideal gift for enthusiasts of athletic history and is in good condition except for some slight wear on the spine, some damage to the front and some foxing of pages and discolouration due to age.
