Publisher: Published for the Transport Trust by Patrick Stephens, Cambridge, 1981, first edition limited to 1000 copies of which this is number 317 (numbered in pen on last page). Signed on title page by Sir Peter Allen. Hardback in slipcase, 240 pages. Many black and white illustrations. Gilt edged pages. Cover and book are in excellent condition. Slipcase is in generally good and firm condition with some fading and light shelfwear and a couple of small stains. Book contains a number of interviews recorded by the Transport Trust conducted by Sir Peter Allen and edited by well known motoring writer Graham Robson. Amongst those interviewed were S.C.H Davis, Sir Barnes Wallis , Leo Villa, Sir Thomas Sopwith, Kaye Don, Captain G.E.T. Eyston, Lord Thomas of Remenham, C.Hamilton Ellis and many others. Fascinating stories and accompanied by many photographs.
