Travels With An Angle

£19.99

Product description

SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR: This hardcover book is in very good condition overall. The cover of the book has no major issues and includes the original dust jacket. The jacket does have some minor, but noticeable markings on the inside at the back. The original price is still on the jacket and has not been cut. On the edges of the pages, at the top, there is some noticeable foxing. This does not appear to extend inside, in which the pages of the book are in very good condition and are without major, or any issue. The book was first published in 1987 by Boydell and written by Ken Sutton. As mentioned above the book has a signature and message from the author, though as the book is a donated item, we cannot personally verify the signature.

'The reminiscences of which this book largely consists cover a long period of time. My first memory, for instance, goes as far back as 1918, so it behoves me to explain briefly how angling led me so far afield and provided so many memories. The occasion has always mattered more to than the catch. In fairness, therefore, the reader should be warned that he is not likely to catch more fish by reading this book. But, as someone once so wisely wrote, 'There's more to angling than catching fish', and if these pages lead to a heightened appreciation of the magic that invests fishing and fishermen then my time will not have been wasted.'
