About this item
"Not everyone would like to travel afoot from Land's End to John O'Groats, a trip of some 1100 miles, often saturated with the rains and mists of "England's green and pleasant land", sleeping under the stars on clear nights, and replenishing the inner man by taking pot luck with a diet hardly to be recommended. But that is what the intrepid John Hillaby did, and is the better for it today. Why did he do it? Just for the hell of it...." Illustrations are woodcuts and maps.
Binding tight. Pages clean but for a name at the top of the page inside the front board. There is shelf-wear to the top and bottom of the spine of the binding. The unclipped D/W shows shelf-wear at the edges and closed tears at the bottom of the back cover from which creases radiate.
