London. Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, and Green. 1832. Hardcover. Octavo, Condition. Very Good - Fairly heavy rubbing to the edge, joints and corners of boards. Spine ends heavily rubbed and frayed. Quite a bit of foxing especially to the prelims. Hinge is a little weakened in places but binding still firm. The text is quite fresh and clean. Gilt page edges. Original publisher's red boards decorated in blind and gilt, with spine lettering stating "Heath's Picturesque Annual 1832", cream endpapers. Errata slip tipped in at rear. Frontispiece and engraved title, with tissue guard, inserted before the letterpress title. 24 steel engravings with slightly foxed tissue guards inserted in text. All plates present (26 in all).

Frontispiece and engraved title (which is headed "Heath's Picturesque Annual for 1832") are foxed and yellowed; the other plates all have some foxing to the margins and blank sides, but only a small minority have any foxing in the image and then only lightly. Drawings by Clarkson Stanfield esq.
