This book describes the author journey into the centre of Borneo accompanied by James Fenton and three local tribesmen in 1983. They managed to reach the central Tibetan massif an area unvisited since 1926. A fascinating account that includes several monochrome photographs.

There is large dedication on the title page reading:' To Susanne and David (who deserves a VC for attending an Annabelinda meeting. With all best wishes from Redmond September 2007.' then further down by the publishers name he has written: 'a genuine first editing full of mistakes'.
(Annabelinda is the fashion business his wife own in Oxford).

Complete with original dust jacket in very good condition.
