Excellent condition set of 6 maps. Blue tube containing a six sheet facsimile of Greenwood's 1818 original map of the County Palatine of Lancaster. A highly-detailed map of Lancashire, containing hundreds, parishes, towns, villages, turnpike roads, toll-bars, cross-roads, churches, castles, chapels, heaths, commons, canals and railways. Top right, under the title, is a prospect of Liverpool.

Blue heavy cardboard tube 750 mm long X 75mm diameter. 6 sheets, total (if joined) 2160 X 1420 mm.

Maps in excellent condition, seems unused, clean and bright, Tube has a few scuffs. A high quality facsimile on heavy gauge paper from Wychwood Editions dating from 1992.
