Subtitled as: "An illustrated guide to some 480 open spaces in and around London including the green belt" The book is paperback and includes a black and white photograph of a blossom tree on the front cover with the book title and price (one shilling) written in white and black respectively on dark green panels at the top and bottom of the cover. The rear cover explains the subject nature of the book on a light green panel again with the book title and price this time written in black and white respectively on dark green panels. The spine shows the book title. Both front and rear endpapers are folded to show maps of the green belt and the County of London with numbers referencing the various open spaces. The endpapers are not well-attached to the spine as brown adhesive tape has been used to repair the book. There is some bumping to the corners and some shelf wear including some tears at the bottom of the spine. The pages do not show much discolouration. In the main body of the book there is a black and white photograph of a particular open space on each page. On the front cover there is an ink figure six written on the picture.
