Sailing Tours: Essex and Suffolk

£12.99

Product description

Published as part of a series by the National Benzole petrol company, The tours are for sailors with small craft drawing about eighteen inches, which can be towed on car trailors, but owners of larger craft will find the tours useful. Not intended as a navigational guide, it should be used with maps and charts and recognised pilot books on sailing instructions. The practical notes given with each group of tours give lists of appropriate charts. An attractively produced book with numerous illustrations, including several full page watercolours, by Paul Sharp. The 21 tours begin with Southwold to Covenhithe in to North, and end with Burnham-on-Crouch to Rochford in the South. The book has general wear marks and light soiling to the covers with a number 5 written in ink on the upper right front corner, and a circular coffee mug stain on the back; corners and spine ends are worn down and there is wear to all edges and creases to corners; closed tear, approx. 3 cm, at the bottom of the spine along the join with the rear cover. Light soiling to text block edges; pages clean and bright. An excellent book for sailing enthusiasts who wish to go beyond idling in boating lakes and pottering around in bays and use their skills to venture further.
