The Footpath Way An Anthology for Walkers

£8.99

Product description

A nice little anthology. The anthologiser is not named. There is a touching typewritten note pasted into the insider of the front cover suggesting that the book, published in 1911, reflected the early years of Paddy Ingram's long and happy marriage. There are 18 individual essays and many distinguished names contribute - Scott, Thoreau, Borrow and Sidney Smith.

Sidgwick sand Jackson hardback with no DJ. Green cloth covered boards with gilt decoration and lettering to front and spine. As well as the paste-in there is a handwritten verse on the front end page with the date Christmas 1911. The binding is sprung between the Contents and the Introduction but it remains functional. The pages are rough trimmed.
