Product description

FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING, PRECEDING FIRST STATE, MINUS ERRATUM SLIP. Published in 1963 a very rare hardback travel book by Ian Fleming. The cover is boards with grey patterned paper and a white cloth spine. Titles on the spine are gilt. The end papers are black as are the top edges of the pages, there are fingering marks on the front end paper. The lamination on the dust jacket does not extend across the front fold back. Dust jacket not price clipped but it is torn at the front upper edge close to the spine (3 cm) and the edges are bent with some nibbling to upper and lower edges. Internally the book is clean, bright and tightly bound. There are no indications of previous ownership. Illustrated with 82 black and white photographs. In this edition one of the photographs was incorrect. Two days after production began this was noticed and erratum slips were inserted, but some copies had already been shipped abroad and so did not contain the erratum slip.
