Delightfull bridesmaid's dress in a midnight-blue slubbed fabric. probably professionally hand-sewn, It has a scooped nckline with a scallopped edge. The shoulders of the sleeves are elasticated & there are small matching fabric roses where they join the neckline. The sleeves themselves are short with scallopped edges. The darts which shape the bodice are piped & the dress fits into the waist which drops to a point at the front. There is a long hidden zip at the back with a row on decorative self-covered buttons over it, The waist at the back is trimmed with 3 small roses. The skirt is gathered onto the waist & falls with graceful fullness to the hemline. The dress is lined & there is a stiffened net frill to support the skirt.( Please note that the colour of the dress is a much softer blue than shown in the illustration).
