Vintage Original circa 1950s Graham Wren for Nettie Vogues Size UK 4 approx Marilyn Monroe 50s Silk Wedding Dress

£280.00

Product description

Original, circa 1950s, Nettie Vogues Wedding Dress Size UK 4 approx

This vintage wedding dress is perfect for a retro-chic look. With a classic 1950s silhouette, this on-trend mid length dress has a distinct air of Marilyn Monroe.

The dress was designed by Graham Wren for Nettie Vogues of London. Nettie Vogues is a well known brand from the era; and Graham Wren went on to design dresses worn by Princess Diana.
The dress has a gently structured corset, with beautiful floaty (viscose?)chiffon fabric that is ruche-ed over the bust and gathered at the waist.

There are a couple of small brown marks to the front, approximately 1cm across, (please see photos). These are on the front of the dress, one around 2" from the hem and two more aroudn 14" from the hem. Otherwise, the dress is in very good vintage condition.

Also, it appears that the draped chiffon shell of the dress has shrunk and therefore the lining is lomnger than the shell and is visible in photo 3. However this could be inexpensively rectified by shortening the shell layer by 2" approx.

A unique dress for your perfect day!
