Poetry corner

Oxfam is passionate about poetry - we sell it, we read it and sometimes we even write it. Some of our most committed volunteers and supporters are well known poets: Michael Rosen, Judith Nichols, John Hegley, John Foster and Todd Swift to name but a few.

Carol Ann Duffy

We are delighted that the new Poet Laureate herself will be joining in the fun during Oxfam Bookfest. Carol Ann Duffy will be visiting our Didsbury shop on 4th July to read her poems and sign books. We are very honoured to have her support - click here to find out more.

John Hegley

Some of the best known poets have given their time to read their own poetry for Oxfam as part of the Life Lines project. Contibutors include John Hegley, Wendy Cope and Dalgit Nagra.

Alex McRae

Oxfam's Marylebone Bookshop plays host to an evening of poetry, hosted by Todd Swift.
