Poet Laureate to visit Oxfam
We are delighted that the new Poet Laureate herself will be joining in the fun during Oxfam Bookfest. Carol Ann Duffy will be visiting our Didsbury shop on 4th July to read her poems and sign books. We are very honoured to have her support.
This isn’t the first time Carol Ann Duffy has shown her support for Oxfam. The acclaimed poet donated her signed handprint as part of the Didsbury store’s Give a Helping Hand campaign joining many other famous supporters including Roger McGough and Coronation Street creator Tony Warren, which will be auctioned to raise money for Oxfam.
This is Carol Ann Duffy's poem written to mark the launch of Oxfam's first Bookfest
