How-to DIY

Click through the headers to find the illustrations and step-by-step guide for these great ideas.

Cut up into a holey new version
Spray-on patterns & prints
Create a new slashed zip neckline

Down the side of a jersey/stretchy
T-shirt use sharp scissors to cut parallel slits to the length of your choice from 5cm under the arm hole to 5 cm above the bottom edge.

Remember you will need to pull each slice and roll back and forth in your hand so it becomes scrunchy.

Get a load of old necklaces, from pearls to chains.

Lay onto a T-shirt and spray with paint at least ten inches from garment. Work with necklaces that have been sprayed to give a shadow effect.

Why not make a stencil out of card
and spray – like the DIY logo that we
have used?

Ensure that you measure the length of
the zipper before you begin cutting the
shirt.

Cut from shoulder to shoulder. Pin
zip on to the cut neck of the T-shirt and
hand stitch each edge on to the neck.
