How to make - Turning your jeans into a skirt
1

Grab a pair of old jeans from your wardrobe or pick a pair up from our Second-hand Store. Check they fit around the waist. Cut the inside seams completely open from the ankles up to the crotch.

Cut up or unpick the front seam until you hit the zip. Repeat on the rear!

Now overlap one side over the other. Pin down into place and try on to check there are no lumps or bumps.

Cut jean legs off to required skirt length, leaving at least an inch seam allowance for folding the fabric under for a neat edge. Use the spare fabric from the legs or grab another pair from Oxfam online (doesn't matter what size) use the denim to fill the front and back gap.
5
All fitted? Jump on the sewing machine and stitch up front and back or sit yourself down in front of the TV for an episode of hand stitching.
