Please be aware that due to local flooding, goods ordered from Oxfam shops in Keswick and Ulverston may not be despatched within the standard three days. We are doing all we can to minimise any delays.
What are your delivery charges?
We won’t charge you a penny for delivery, unless you want us to.
Oxfam offers Free Delivery on all items to attract as many shoppers as possible. But to help us cover at least some of our costs – so we can spend more money on our poverty-busting work worldwide – it would be great if you could make a voluntary contribution.
Suggested contributions are based on the average costs of delivering the product you’ve chosen. They range from £1.50 for Oxfam Unwrapped goods to £3.50 for products from the Ethical Collection. You can pay the suggested amount, increase or decrease your contribution, or pay nothing at all. You choose.
- For orders from Oxfam Unwrapped we suggest a contribution of £1.50
- For orders from the Second-hand Store we suggest £2.50
- For orders from the Ethical Collection we suggest £3.50
You can choose to pay the suggested amount, increase or decrease your contribution, or pay nothing at all. By covering the cost of your delivery, more of the money from your purchase can be spent directly on Oxfam’s work around the world.
Note: Some valuable or heavy items in the Second-hand Store incur a mandatory courier charge. These charges are dependent on the value and weight of the item and are in place to protect against loss and damage. If a courier charge applies, additional information will be shown in the product page and in the basket.
How quickly will I get my order?
Your order will be despatched within three working days of receipt. If you have ordered items from different departments (e.g. Oxfam Unwrapped and Ethical Collection), your order will arrive in separate parcels. If you have ordered several second-hand items and they are stocked at different shops, you will receive a parcel from each shop.
- Oxfam Unwrapped orders will be sent by 1st class post.
- Ethical Collection orders weighing more than 2 kg will be sent by courier, or by 2nd Class post if the total weight is less than 2 kg.
- Goods purchased from our Second-hand Store will be sent by the individual Oxfam shops, and will be sent by 2nd Class post, or by Special Delivery for items worth more than £32. Some items may be sent by courier, and you will be able to see this in the product information for these exceptions.
Can orders be delivered overseas?
Oxfam Unwrapped orders can be sent overseas, although there maybe an Oxfam Unwrapped in the country you are looking to send the gift too. In which case, it will be quicker and easier for you to order from their site. You can find links to the other sites on the Oxfam International Unwrapped page.
Currently, we don’t allow goods from our Second-hand Store or Ethical Collection to be delivered internationally. This is something we're looking to introduce as we develop Oxfam's Online Shop further.
Can I get my order delayed so that it is sent out on a certain date?
We don’t currently offer the facility to delay the despatch of orders, from Oxfam unwrapped, Second-hand Store or Ethical Collection. However you can order the gifts to be sent to yourself, and forward them on at the appropriate time.
If you order Oxfam Unwrapped gifts on-line or by phone, you can specify a date for when the gift should be opened, and we will print this on the envelope.
Will I always get a despatch note by post?
When we send your Oxfam Unwrapped order, we will send you a despatch note. If you have given us your email address, we will send your despatch note by email as this saves money and paper. If we do not have an email address for you, we will send you a despatch note by post. If your gifts are being delivered to you, the despatch note will be enclosed. If the gifts are being sent to another address, we will post the dispatch note to you separately.
A delivery note will also accompany goods from our Second-hand Store and Ethical Collection, but this won’t include the value of the products in case they are being sent directly to a recipient as a gift. It will just detail the products, so that the recipient can ensure that everything has been delivered correctly.
I’ve received part of my order today - where is the rest?
Oxfam Unwrapped, Ethical Collection products and Second-hand Store goods are all sent from different places. The aim is to despatch all goods, whether by courier or Royal Mail post, within three working days. So you may receive different parts of your order at slightly different times, but we estimate you should receive all of your order within seven working days of you placing the order. Please do contact us if you have any problems.
