Why should I volunteer?

If you can spare just a few hours a week to help volunteer for our Online Shop, you could make a real contribution to Oxfam’s work to end poverty. We rely on our volunteers. And with over 20,000 volunteers already part of our shop network team, it’s just like joining one big family of people who want to make a difference.

What does it involve?

Even though we operate as on Online shop, you don’t have to be particularly web-savvy to be a volunteer. There are a range of jobs that you could do including:

  • Sorting the donations that we receive
  • Entering and uploading products online
  • Taking photographs of donated products
  • Online quality control checks on our listed products (home-based)
  • Posting out orders to our shoppers

Who volunteers?

Our Online Shop volunteer team consists of all-sorts of people. The one thing we all share in common is an enthusiasm and a willingness to do our best and help Oxfam alleviate poverty and suffering around the world.
