Celebrating 5 decades of British cool

Vintage at Goodwood festival runs from 13th to 15th August in the glorious surroundings of the Goodwood Estate. And Oxfam can’t wait to be there.

Dubbed ‘The Festival of Our Lives’, Vintage at Goodwood is the first festival to combine the best of contemporary music, fashion, art, design and culture from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s in unparalleled detail and unrivalled comfort. Musically, Vintage at Goodwood will feature an inspirational line up of world renowned DJs and bands from each decade as well as contemporary artists whose work owes a debt to these forerunners. But Vintage at Goodwood will offer festival enthusiasts much more than music alone. The Vintage High Street, with the attention to detail of a film set, will feature renowned brands and shops from the past and present including the recreation of Oxfam’s very first 1948 shop.

Oxfam: the vintage fashion charity

Oxfam as you’ve never seen it before…
Oxfam will be with you every step of your vintage journey. Buy clothes from the recreation of our very first 1948 shop which will be packed to the rafters with fine vintage clothing and accessories from the 1940s to the 1980s. Watch the catwalk bring your vintage donations to life as Vintage at Goodwood and Oxfam collaborate for their daily show; if it hasn’t been through an Oxfam shop, it’s hardly worth knowing about! Learn how to stitch and restyle your own vintage creations with our team of expert volunteers.

Buy books from the Oxfam bookshop in the 1940s area, or help us raise funds for a classroom in the 'Stitch in Time' workshops area.

Vintage Oxfam Shop

Vintage shop-a-holics won’t be able to resist the largest vintage fashion bazaar in Europe with over 200 purveyors of fashion and accessories spread along the huge Vintage High Street and Vintage Marketplace. The Vintage High Street will be a place to shop and promenade; people watch and enjoy the surreal experience of authentic cafes. It will host catwalk shows, hands on creative experiences, vintage salons and feature The Vintage Marketplace which will host the largest and finest gathering of the world’s vintage clothes sellers ever assembled.

This is where you will find our recreation of Oxfam’s first High Street shop from 1948, stocked with five decades of vintage fashion. Our expert team of volunteers will be on hand to style and advise on all things vintage while you shop for your authentic look.

Vintage Oxfam Catwalk

Throughout the festival weekend, you’ll be able to experience the magic of expertly choreographed Vintage catwalk shows, which culminate in masterful lead runway sequences around the Vintage at Goodwood site. For one of these shows, 'Thoroughly Modern Vintage', Oxfam joins with Katherine Higgins, Vintage Fashion Curator, to present cutting-edge vintage style for our modern times featuring the best of Oxfam’s vintage collection.
