Ukuva iAfrica has been supplying Fair Trade goods worldwide since 1997 and is committed to trading with concern for the social, economic and environmental well being of marginalized producers in Africa.
They ensure payment of fair wages, promote gender equity and provide business development advice to producer groups local to their base in Cape Town, South Africa.
Their production set-up provides jobs for many previously unemployed people, including over 150 talented craft workers with disabilities. Ukuva are the largest financial contributor to the Cape Mental Health Society and they work to promote development that improves the quality of life of employees and their communities. Ukuva i-Africa is a member of the WFTO and is committed to Fair Trade.
