Tara Projects (Trade Alternative Reform Action) is a Fair Trade organisation which aims to provide dignity and financial security to its producers and their communities. Conditions are good, wages are fair and all the artisan members are medically insured.
As well as ensuring that all of their suppliers and producers are fairly paid, they also help to fund and maintain schools, vocational training centres, and adult literacy centres. They are actively participating in the awareness programs / seminars so they are able to save some money monthly which can help them in future. The money that they earn through this regular employment allows them to put food on the table and send their children to school.
